It was written in the stars that I'd eventually succumb to the pressure of the blogosphere and write about everybody's favourite new band, The XX. In fact as a result of the craft and vision from Astronomer, Alex from Skulljuice, here we are now. The eerie solace that arrives from their debut album makes it inevitable that they'll be a difficult act to remix, but somehow, Alex Egan has reworked the original formula into a sleeping demon that snores out a hypnotic option all over the dancefloor. It's also worth checking out these other two remixes for Metronomy and Micachu. One, because they're aces. And two, you won't want me to come over there and bitch slap you into another Kanye West rant. Scared yea?
