more often than not rejection can be a bad thing. for instance when my friend emma broke up with her boyfriend, she locked herself indoors and cried herself into a tub of ice cream. why do girls feel the need to do that? does ice cream contain a magical attribute i'm unaware of? what is the point of plain flavours? too many questions i need answers for. perhaps what i do know is that rejection can also be a good thing. in this case my ben & jerrys addicted friend found her perfect match just a month later. in fact when you look back to last year when aeroplane's remix of "william's blood" found itself left out of the release, it brought them the acclaim and hype they thoroughly deserved. if i'm being honest
simian mobile disco's latest single is a little disappointing, especially after hearing a few special tracks off their new album, and there's little to hope for if the chicken lips version hits all the wrong buttons. however this remix by the london duo,
allez-allez, has turned the original into something i love. this is kind of more gorgeous than natalie portman blowing a kiss. i tell a lie, i'd catch that kiss any day of the week.

i'm pretty certain that it's safe to say that allez-allez are not to be mixed up with the late belgian new wave allez allez. there's quite a big difference, namely the big hair and sarah gregory on vocals. check out their self-titled track though, one to stupidly dance to.
EDIT: THE ALLEZ-ALLEZ REMIX WASN'T REJECTED, JUST HELD TO RELEASE WITH CLASH MAGAZINE. PLEASE AIM YOUR BLAME AT MY EX GIRLFRIEND HAHA
